  Chapter 1

  * * *

She sat before the monitors, draped in a crimson silk dressing gown, revealing her naked legs splayed, exposing her clean-shaven pussy, already sheened with anticipation. She wanted him to see her, to claim her, and she fantasized about him taking what she offered. At just the thought, she shivered with ecstasy. It had been so long.

He would demand things of her, more than Martine had done. He was a man who would push her to her limits, and she would love him all the more for doing it. She ran her hands over her engorged breasts, massaging them, making herself ready.

At precisely eleven o'clock he walked through the door. As she watched on the monitor, he pulled out his wallet and handed over the requisite crisp bills that would allow him to enter the exclusive club. Every night for the last two months he had arrived at the same time. He sat at the bar, ordered a neat scotch, no fuss, no muss, and studied the crush of people around him. Noir Dance was always filled to capacity by the elite nocturnal population. The hefty bouncers who manned the doors had their work cut out for them each and every night, starting promptly at ten o'clock when the unremarkable silver doors were unlocked and the crowd pushed impatiently to gain entrance.

She was unsettled by the knowledge she had apparently become addicted to his appearance. Her search for his strong, remote features had become so necessary that it gained the same expectancy as each breath she took to live. In a way it gave him some element of control over her, even though he wasn't aware of it, or the fact that she watched him so intensely, memorizing each minute movement.

She pressed a button and the camera lens zoomed in on his face, cutting off the people around him. He was a gorgeous hunk of a man dressed in tight, black leather that hugged every bulging muscle in his body. She angled the camera downward and smiled. Including a thick, hard cock that pressed desperately against the smooth, snug fit of his pants. She couldn't help licking her lips.

She didn't know his name. Not yet. She just liked watching him. He intrigued her. Had done so from that first night. He exhibited no significant interest in anyone around him, not the women, nor the men. He watched, just as she did. It was something they had in common, even if they weren't acquainted. They both liked to watch. Her pussy tingled in anticipation of the next few hours.

She readjusted the angle of the camera to again focus on his face, the lean, dark angles. He had the long sooty lashes any woman would die for. But it was his searing blue eyes that clutched straight at the soul. They were like a beacon in the darkest room, almost supernatural in their intensity. They were the eyes of the darkest angel she'd ever seen and her nipples, even now, tingled with arousal. He had a face she could stare at for hours.

Suddenly, he looked up, straight into the camera lens, and she gasped. He couldn't possibly be aware she was watching him. His sensual lips curved into an intimate smile. And he winked! His penetrating stare seemed to reach through the lens, his presence stroking her, aware of her scrutiny. Their gazes locked and held for long moments and then he turned to stride into the main part of the club. She quickly turned to one of the other monitors tracking his movements, following a different angle. Her body throbbed with the need to be with him. But watching him was such exquisite torture.

Her gaze focused on the tight muscles of his ass as he sauntered toward the bar. She almost reached out to stroke the image on the monitor, her desire had become that pronounced. Instead, she slid a hand over her smooth mound and down to her pussy. She stroked across her labia lips, already wet with desire. Just watching him did that do her.

She slipped a finger inside her vagina. Oh, yes, she was so very wet and smoldering hot. It was going to be a long two hours before she made her appearance at the stroke of midnight.

An anorexic blonde dressed in a scarlet corset trimmed in black lace, glaring white thigh-high stockings, and glittering five-inch stiletto pumps, approached him. She whispered something into the ear of the man and he nodded and stood. They veered toward the dance floor and she knew she was about to get the sensual show she most enjoyed. Watching him dance was a pleasure all unto itself.

"When are you going to up the stakes on this little game of yours, Mistress?"

She didn't glance away from the screen to acknowledge the question from her bodyguard cum lover.

"Don't call me that. You know I could never take her place. Not here, not with you. I'll approach him if and when I'm ready, Tad." A second finger joined the first inside her hot, slick channel, and she rubbed the palm of her hand against her swollen clit. Oh, she so enjoyed watching the way he moved. It was like devouring a bowl of rich, warm caramel, thick and sweet, and oh, so good. Her hungry gaze followed the figures on the screen. The blonde rubbed up against him and Aurora wanted to be the one in her place.

She sank her fingers deeper into her vagina.

"Here, let me," Tad offered from behind her.

From the corner of her focus she saw him drop to his knees and make his way toward where she sat. Martine had taught them both well. Even now, Tad always followed protocol as though it was second nature. They had been with Mistress Martine a long time and he sensed what Aurora needed without her telling him. This club was now her domain and everyone in it served at her pleasure. She'd inherited i
t from their lover, a Mistress in her own right, a woman who'd taught her about the world of passion, and recognized her need to submit--something none of her male lovers had ever understood.

When Mistress Martine had died from ovarian cancer two years ago, she had left the club to Aurora and she continued to strive to make it successful, following in the footsteps of Mistress Martine, at least in public. Although if she were to admit it to herself, it was only play-acting because her heart wasn't in it.

Tad had served Mistress Martine, just as Aurora had, but it was Aurora who had the business degree. Tad knew his own faults and he loved to gamble. If a part of the club had been left to him, he would have gambled his share away within weeks. So, when the time came, he chose to stay on as bodyguard to the new mistress--Aurora. There was a friendly passion between them, not the searing heat that either of them had enjoyed with Martine, but pleasant enough. He offered her the same respect of a submissive to a domme that he had shown to Martine, and she enjoyed his companionship. She didn't know what she would do without him. But it wasn't the same without Martine.

If only she could say she was finally comfortable in the duties that had been placed upon her shoulders. But it hadn't become easier, only more difficult. She missed the guidance, the sense of purpose that serving Martine had given her. She missed the intense passion, the searing emotion that her domme had been able to draw from her.

Every day she could feel the void, the spark that was missing from their lives. She surmised that Tad knew it as well, although he never voiced any dissatisfaction. They had discussed it fleetingly, skirting the real problem, but never followed through to rectify the situation. Bringing a third into the relationship could present a danger to their comfortable situation. With Mistress Martine it had been different--one couldn't rush into these things. But she'd been gone two years and Aurora and Tad both missed the dynamics a more dominant third brought to the mix. She held the authoritative role in their relationship, but she couldn't say she enjoyed it. It entailed a lot of responsibility, as well as leaving an empty chasm inside her.

She spread her legs as Tad nudged closer to her needy, dripping pussy. He inhaled deeply and looked up at her with a grin on his face and then licked his lips.

"Why don't you ask him? At least find out who he is."

She removed her fingers and Tad's quick tongue replaced them eagerly. She hissed at the sensation, her gaze still focused on the screen and the undulating bodies. Tad placed his hands on Aurora's hips and pulled her closer to the edge of the chair, his tongue sinking deeper, swirling inside her.

Her eyes grew heavy lidded, her body spinning tighter as she watched the images on the screen and succumbed to the tantalizing attentions of her lover.

Tad had a wonderful, experienced mouth. He had respected Mistress Martine, and enjoyed Aurora, when they came together. But Aurora knew he loved sucking cock even more so than pussy. It was not uncommon for Martine to turn an eye to someone special and bring them up to her lair for a night of passion. They had both known that Tad tended to be more enthusiastic when they invited a man than another woman. Yet, there had been opportunities for both.

It was one of the reasons Aurora had waited to try to find just the right one to balance their relationship. She liked Tad, liked him a lot, and she wanted to be sure he was happy as well, in any relationship they pursued.

Tad's ministrations became more enthusiastic as he lapped at her cream, his tongue and fingers finally sending her over the edge. Her body jerked as she pulsed against his mouth.

When it was over, he lifted his head, his face glistening with her juices and he smiled.

"Just as tasty as ever, Mistress." He leaned back on his haunches to study her. "What is it, Aurora? What's bothering you? Is it such a hard decision to make?"

"If I were the Mistress you keep calling me, I'd be disciplining you right now for using the term when I distinctly told you not to."

Tad leaned back and sighed. "I respect you, Aurora. You're doing what I never could have done. I'd have made a mess of this place and you know it. You had to take the lead." He leaned forward and slid his hands along her bare thighs. "Any time you want to discipline me, just say so." He leaned forward and sucked one of her nipples into his mouth.

She leaned back and closed her eyes, arching her back. God, he had such a lovely mouth and certainly knew how to use it on her. His tongue swirled over her skin as his teeth tugged at her engorged nipple.

Their relationship was based on more than strictly sex and she wanted to do right by him. If it had been only at the carnal level, she doubted the relationship would have lasted as long as it had. She reached up to thread her fingers through his thick, curly hair. For herself, she loved being with a man just as much as a woman. But it must be the right one. "You're as fascinated by him as I am. Do we really want to rush into this?"

She wrapped her fingers in his hair and pulled back sharply. He had no choice but to release her after razing his teeth across her breast and leaving a long red mark. She closed her legs and Tad rose to his feet. "You realize, she could have left it to either one of us. I don't know why she chose me. We could have found a way to protect your interests against your naughty habits."

He leaned back against the wall and studied her. "I know why. I told her I wanted no part of it. I didn't want the responsibility. You were suited for it. I told her right up front that I had no problem accepting your authority." He was silent for a moment. "I loved her, Aurora, the same as you did. Still do. I don't think anyone could ever take her place. You're doing the best you can, but you know we need him. We've waited long enough. She wouldn't have wanted us to do without."

Tears glittered in his eyes. They were becoming maudlin and Martine would have disciplined both of them if she were here now. Sometimes it felt as though her eyes were upon them even now; that she was in the room with them. Aurora could even smell her signature scent of camellias. Aurora had moments when she wanted to reach out and touch her, just one more time. And then the feeling would dissipate. But it wasn't to be. Martine was gone and they had to get on with their lives.

It shocked Aurora to know Martine and Tad had discussed the situation without her input. She had to wonder why that was. Why had she conferred with Tad and not her?

"She didn't want you torn with the need to make the decision," Tad said. He had a habit of doing that--knowing what she was thinking without her saying anything. "You and I have a different sort of relationship, not as structured. She knew you were the stronger, the right one to take over the management, but she wanted me to have an opportunity to have my say. She was always like that and it's why the three of us worked so well together for so long. She knew exactly what made it work."

Aurora had to agree. Martine had always had that special gift, almost a second sight, about them. "She never failed to surprise me, or to delight me."

"You need to get ready--enough of this sentimental shit. Do you need help?"

She looked up at him as she rose from the cushioned chair and gave one last glance to the monitor. "You want him as much as I do, don't you?"

"Honestly? Yes. But I think he scares you. He's not the passive sort, is he? And it's been a long time since you've been with someone of his ilk."

She chuckled. "True. I don't think he's bottom material in any respect."

"He might be just the challenge you need. He'd make a strong partner. Martine always said that's what you needed. More so than me. I'm pretty easygoing, but you take a lot more work." He grinned.

"Is he too strong for you?" The one thing she didn't want was two men always bickering between themselves. And she didn't want Tad to leave if they couldn't work things out. She couldn't even think about that prospect.

Tad shrugged. "I like them tough, you know that. Martine always used a firm hand with me. I loved it. But you might feel differently. You're in a different position now. Would you accept him?"

"Would he want to be with a strong woman? I don't know
."

"Do you want to find out?"

Did she? She kind of liked things just they way they were for now. She liked watching him, fantasizing about him. But his being here every night for the last two months told her he was interested. And she also knew that she wasn't the only one who watched and held their distance. He watched her as well. Yet he never tried to approach her. Or Tad. Sometimes people did that in hopes of getting closer to her. They would try to gain Tad's help. But he was far smarter than that and never let anyone near her. He always had the ability to size up people accurately. Even Martine had relied on his acute sense of people.

But Noir Dance was her realm now and this stranger obviously knew it. He never tried to trespass on her authority. Although he might have dominant tendencies, he also apparently had infinite patience. He drew her to him. Each night she thought that would be the night she grew bored, but that's not the way it had worked. She found herself wanting him more, wanting the challenge he seemed to present. Was he the missing piece they had been looking for?

"He's bisexual, you know," Tad inserted.

"Are you trying to convince me to approach him?"

He shrugged. "I've watched him, too. He's as easy with the men who come on to him as the women. Yet he never leaves with any of them. He's waiting for us, Aurora. God, I'd give a lot to have his body rubbing up against me the way he does down on that dance floor. I'd give anything to feel his cock up my ass. And he's doing it to taunt you, can't you see that? He wants you to make a move. But you have to say when, Aurora. You haven't invited anyone up here, even for one night, in quite a long time."

Not since the first night she'd seen him enter the club. She hadn't wanted anyone else. She nodded. "I know. He intrigues me, but I have to admit he scares me, too. There's something about him. I sometimes feel he's the one in control already, although he hasn't said a thing or made any sign. It's when he looks at me when I circuit the floor. There's an odd, possessive look in his eyes. He's waiting and he's in no hurry."
